Dr.Republica Sridhar, a family and palliative care physician by specialization, has over 25 years of experience in providing palliative healthcare services. As the Founder of RMD Trust, she has identified her calling in ensuring those from impoverished and destitute backgrounds suffering from terminal or chronic illnesses receive access to quality healthcare and support. This vision of accessible healthcare for those most in need has been the driving force behind the growth and scale of RMD Pain and Palliative Care Trust.

Apart from her commitment to palliative care, Dr.Republica is involved in multiple causes including cancer and HIV/AIDS awareness, awareness on women’s health and the prevention of domestic violence, and participation in the anti-tobacco movement. She is an on-call consultant at various leading healthcare centers in Chennai, including the Adyar Cancer Institute, Sri Ramachandra Hospital, Madras Medical Mission, Murugan Hospital, and Tamil Nadu Palliative Care Society. Her dedication to the cause of accessible quality healthcare has inspired many organizations and media houses including the Lions Club, Dignity Foundation, Rotaract Club, and so on to felicitate her.
